A friend of mine is looking to land himself a job in this field but he isn’t sure what to expect when it comes to interviews. He has two lined up for himself next week. Are there any common engineering interview questions he should be prepared to answer?
Oh for sure, just think about the job itself. What questions would you be asking someone in this field before hiring them?
One of the most common ones is "What are you doing to stay current with the latest technology?". Given the field, they will want you to be up to date with all the current technology.
Just look at trends to get an idea of what you might be asked. Alternatively, you can search on Google for the latest questions. I am not in this field so I am not entirely sure.
Just like above, I am not too familiar with the field but I would say anything tech based is a good assumption. A lot of businesses will be looking for people who are current with their knowledge.
I can’t think of anything that would standout from other interview questions that you should be considering. What kind of engineering jobs are we talking here?
Just focus on the job itself. Put yourself in the position of hiring someone and think of things that you’d ask. Chances are, you will nail each question you will be asked in your own interview.
