Worst format of writing a resume?

Member

I always see recommendations on what to do and how to write a resume to standout among the rest but I never see a list of things not to do or formats to avoid. What are the worst formats of writing a resume that we should all avoid?

There really isn't a "bad" format so much as there is bad information you never want to include. You don't want to include personal milestones dealing with social circles. You never want to lie on a resume to boost your value either.

The worst format to me would be a resume that is filled with typos, one that is over-stocked with useless information, or one that is just too short.

You want to ensure your grammar is correct and you are under or over applying yourself.

Just stick to what you have to offer. You don't want to put down on paper that you are skilled in areas where you are not. It is okay to list experience with "some" as well. It helps them know you are not fully experienced with something.

I gotta agree with this. You don't really have to worry so much about using the wrong or worst format. It just comes down to what you have on your resume.
